Expressions of Interest Open For Club Application

May 16, 2012

The surge in demand for more football from existing, former and new players has pressed NNSWF to encourage more clubs to conduct off season activities in 2012.

Information about off season participation activities including Summer 6’s, Special Competitions and Special Tournaments has now been posted on Northern NSW Football’s website and distributed to clubs.

You can view the Expression of Interest document and download the Application form here.

NNSWF’s CEO David Eland said “Society is constantly changing, and as a sport we must continue to strive to meet the needs of an ever increasing number of potential players who can’t for a host of reasons commit to our traditional winter competitions. The off season activities aim to provide more people with more opportunities to play more football. They’re also a great opportunity for motivated clubs that have access to a facility in the off season to further serve their community and raise valuable funds”

NNSWF is confident that changes to the structure of registration fees which make it cheaper for players already registered in winter competitions, will encourage more players to participate year round.

Clubs have until mid June to express their interest in conducting any off season activity and NNSWF is aiming to complete the sanctioning process by 29 June.

“We’ve commenced the process much earlier this year to ensure that we have more time to market the various activities to potential participants. NNSWF will utilise the new integrated website network, competition management system and the online registration system to promote the various off season participation opportunities” Eland said

The success of the Summer 6’s pilot competitions in Lambton, Wallsend and Lake Macquarie in 2011 will see the establishment of at least one Summer 6’s in each of Northern NSW Football’s Member Zones in 2012.
